Thomas Tapia

Instructional Assistant

My name is Thomas Tapia, I was born in East LA but lived and grew up in Huntington Park my whole life. After High School, I had no idea what I wanted to do as a career so I decided to attend a community college and take general education classes while I tried to find my calling. Soon after community college, I transferred to the California State University at Fullerton where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Human Services. I honestly would have never thought I would end up working at a school but I did, this will be my 8th year here at Tate and I love it!

I am a huge Dodgers fan. During my free time, I enjoy going to Dodgers Stadium, and I like to travel to watch them play in other stadiums. So far, I have seen them play in San Diego, Anaheim, San Francisco, Arizona, Colorado, Philadelphia, Pittsburg, Toronto, and Monterrey Mexico. When I am not at the ballpark, I enjoy spending time at the beach, movies, horse track, and sushi bars.
