Esmeralda Garza

Hi I am Coach Blanco, PE Teacher at Tate. I was born and raised in South Los Angeles. I attended Thomas Jefferson High School located in South Los Angeles and I was part of the school’s Basketball and Baseball teams. After graduating from High School, I attended California State University Los Angeles (Golden Eagles). I graduated from Cal State Los Angeles in 2012 with a major in Kinesiology. My interest in sports and physical activity motivated me to pursue a career in Physical Education. I enjoy all sports but my favorites are Basketball and Baseball. My favorite sports teams are the Lakers, Angels, Packers, and of course the Tate Cheetahs. My free time I spend it with my three daughters, going to sporting events and going for walks at our local park.
